About Trish McShane

Trish McShane is the founder of McShane Media & Events and a communications, media, and event professional whose career has spanned broadcast journalism, television production, strategic communications, marketing, and high-profile event management.

Broadcast Journalism Career

For more than two decades, Trish worked in television news and media production, serving as an on-air anchor and correspondent for nationally syndicated programs appearing on ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX affiliates across the country. She also worked as a producer for CNN, where she helped shape coverage of major developments in business, finance, politics, and current affairs.

Throughout her journalism career, Trish interviewed prominent leaders and public figures, including First Lady Barbara Bush, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis, and Marriott Hotels Chairman and CEO J.W. “Bill” Marriott, Jr. Her years in broadcast journalism gave her a deep understanding of how stories are developed, how audiences respond, and how leaders can communicate with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.

Personal

Trish lives in Annapolis, Maryland, with her husband, Gary Gallant. When she is not working with clients, Trish enjoys gardening, spending time with her family’s Goldendoodle, Sammy, and celebrating the accomplishments of her three adult children.

Media Production & Strategic Communications

Trish has also produced corporate-sponsored media content, on-camera segments, voice-over work, promotional videos, and branded features for nationally recognized companies, including Minor League Baseball, Nivea, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Her experience on both sides of the camera allows her to help clients think strategically about message, tone, presentation, and audience engagement.

Event Leadership

More recently, Trish held strategic engagement and leadership roles at Key School and the Annapolis Book Festival. For fifteen years, she led the planning and execution of the entire Festival, working with authors, sponsors, media partners (Trish secured C-Span's partnership with the Festival), public officials, community leaders, staff, and volunteers to support a major annual event that draws thousands of attendees and stands as one of the region’s most prominent literary and civic gatherings.

Education

Trish earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Temple University.
